Just met with Dr. Ferguson. She feels confident in saying she got 60-70% of the tumor out. This is way, way more than she thought she could get. She got all that was on the left side but couldnt get anything on the right side without damage. Hes lost a lot of vision in the left eye but should get some of that back with time. Hes got to rebuild the muscles in that eye. They will be putting in a shunt at the end of the week to help release pressure build up. Most likely, we will go home to do radiation and chemo, but it will all be prescribed by the doctors here. Dr. Ferguson feels confident that the rest will be destroyed with the next treatments. It is a grade 4, not a stage 4. Theres a big, big different. Hes not in a stage. Hes doing really well today. Hes eating, talking, laughing, and actually got up, walked to the chair, and sat for almost an hour. We are feeling very, very blessed at this point!!
