Just my personal opinion, but I dont think living life in the pursuit of physical pleasure is neither evolved nor free..its a different kind of prison all together-constantly needing confirmation that what you have convinced yourself of to avoid pain is THE way to live...for everyone. True happiness does not depend on any external circumstances or relationships. Running away from pain and responsibility-without which, you cease to grow-does not constitute evolution-quite the contrary. So Evolved?-I think not-Free? I say searching~a life with depth, meaning, pain and pleasure, responsibility to myself and humanity is fulfilling and enriching to me...I embrace it all~FEARLESSLY
