Just received a thank you from a friend/jcps parent who called into my school to ask to speak to the principal, but at the time of the call she was not available and also unaware I worked there. I offered to see what I could do to assist her, her children had been placed in a school really really out far beyond words. She explained they had been at their previous school since kdg and got booted out because of a address change, needless to say after realizing who I was talking to as I looked more into her household info I said Tay lol this is Toni lmbo I had my prof voice on!! I was able to help her over the phone filling out a transfer request and thankfully her babies get to go back to their school!!! I sometimes feel like no one knows or understands the depths of my job, but it was rewarding to get a thank you after hours when I had forgotten about it due to all the other families I had helped throughout the day.
