Just recvd my first nasty email re the CASL (anti-spam) with regards to a nice invitation I sent out to visit a new restaurant client and be treated to complimentary refreshments. Apparently this woman is head of one of Torontos major event planning organizations whose business it is to know venues, suppliers, as well as their member planners. Thought this would be a nice outreach for their group...esp. considering theyve been after me for years to join em. Her name and email address is published on her orgs website. So she bites my head off in her email claiming I was not in compliance with the CASL and how dare I contact her. Sorry I offered you and your colleagues a site inspection and free food/booze - which is what your biz is all about. Guess next time they send me a please join us and pay us $0000s membership fees... Ill send them a nasty non-CASL compliance email! So...anyone else encountered such stupid responses? How did you deal with it?
