Just saw Cesar Chavez! EVERYONE should see this movie! Especially Latinos! This movie is so eye-opening incredible! Theres a huge part of me that never really understood or knew what he did, and while I am to blame for that, it was also never taught. Every single person should see this movie to understand what Latinos do, and did for everyone in America, while also searching for equality. This isnt about politics or religion, its about one mans fight to do what is right. TO protest the system and enforce the Constitution. Not only for Latinos but for ANYone working in the fields. My Grandfather from Michoacan worked in the fields, and it was so heart wrenching to see, what he experienced in his life. While, one mans stand, turned into a HUGE Union, these changes were only made in the 70s, and it blows me away that is was only that short time ago. This should be a huge part of History taught. If we can enforce educating our fellow students about leaders, Cesar should not be left out. He was undeniably a force to be reckoned with, oras in Mexican terms, he had some cajones to do what he did. My friend Jacob, also plays Cesars brother in this movie, so I had to check it out, but after watching it, I felt so, so so moved. And beyond proud of my culture and the strength and courage they had to create what they did. You cant oppress someone who is not afraid anymore. ~Cesar ...go see this movie!!!
