Just so no one gets a distorted view of Entrepreneurship as we share some fun pictures of our summer get aways or being able to get away when you have your own business or businesses. :) Can you decide how many trips you take? YES! Can you ever go away and just be on vacation or be away from your phone or work? ABSOLUTELY not with a capital N on the NO. :) Can you go for extended trips? 2 weeks plus? Most likely not. Can you just go home and sign off for the day? YES! But NEVER can can you sign off, NO. DO you like your cell phone? Yes? Good because it will LIVE on you or next to you at ALL times, and I mean ALL times. But you can go home or in when you want? Yes! You work for someone else your compensations appears in your account or in a check, Yes! When it is your company YOU have to make SURE the funds are there to pay everyone which is a 24 hour a day responsibility 365 days a year. Think about that.... You fail at this MANY lives will be adversely affected. There are so many wonderful things and challenges that are right for me/us...but its not for everyone. I was up at 7am this morning returning emails and calls advocating for a family out of state untill about noon buy which time my family had grown impatient and left the room to begin thier day. Do I feel bad? Yes....however this is the 3rd short but awesome trip we have taken this summer...its just the way it is...at lunch Steve and I busily work on various diamond sales with our staff..then shut it off and have a GREAT time playing Corn Hole with the kids IN COLORADO! Its a crazy life but a GREAT one, but certainly not for all...you must also consider this if you marry and entrepreneur.. as you will be on the recieving end of this life...which many people find intolerable. :) Yes, its hard to admit but its true... Owning your own business or charity sounds so cool. Well it IS cool but comes at a BIG price and resposibility you must be prepared for...Oh, Massages or spa treatments? IF you can make time which likely will only be when you do go away while working...you will be on the table WITH your cell phone. With it...hello! Therapist give you a disapproving look and tell you to just relax....you dont even know how to explain that you could never fall asleep wondering what was happening with your phone ACROSS the room...at least if its there you can rest your mind or slow your thoughts knowing all is good or no one needs you or approval for anything. Again, its a life style with a lot of perks but a lifestyle...a very different one! xoxo ~jw
