Just spoke with an insurance company rep about a charge we submitted (at work) and she informed me that the Ins. Company was not happy with our limit of a 10% discount and that they were looking for more like a 28% discount...because THEY FEEL that is reasonable and applicable and that if we couldnt compromise on it they would just pay the claim at the 28% discounted rate anyway...So I said to her, Wow- I want to do that! I think I will go shopping today and only pay 72% of my bill. I wish that was how the world worked! She kind of laughed uncomfortably... THAT is what is wrong with insurance..maybe the policy holder should say that from now on she feels it is reasonable and applicable to pay her premiums at a 28% discounted rate...
