Just watched a video of Derek Nepinak and wallace fox, talking about inherent rights to education, then talking of Treaty Rights to education... They said we have every right to control our own education system, that I agree with, but they are saying the govt must fund it, which is false... Creator gave us the right to teach the children what we choose, our own education system prior to colonization... These chiefs want to use the European education system to teach our children, to get the govt to fund that system... But it is not our way, we were given a way by the Creator, by the land... We can teach the children anything we choose to, no one will stop us, but stop trying to get money to fund a European education system that is furthering the assimilation of our people... Truth be told, these chiefs believe money will solve our problems... The old people always told us it is our traditional ways that will solve our problems, but it shows these chiefs dont listen, because what they are fighting for isnt our way... My late mosoms were right, always have been...
