Just what do you think youre doing, Dave? ... ;-) It was 46 years ago today -- April 2nd, 1968 -- that Stanley Kubricks 1968 magnum opus, 2001: A Space Odyssey ( imdb/title/tt0062622/ ), was released. Ill admit that I really dont watch many movies, nor TV shows (as Ive ALWAYS been FAR MORE into books and documentaries), but this is one of my FAVORITE movies (and also 1 of my FAVORITE soundtracks) since I was a very young child. The movie is almost 2 & 1/2 hours long, and to this day, many people still debate and discuss the meaning(s) of the film. Some of you may know about these links which offer POSSIBLE explanations/interpretations about the movie. Feel free to read and view them, if youd like. However, Id HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT read nor view ANY explanation(s)/interpretation(s) if youve NEVER seen the movie! That MIGHT influence you.
