Hello everyone, my name is Dave and I am a very small hedgehog. I think I am 7 weeks old, thats when my mum disappeared and I was left all alone. One night some furry creatures with long scaley tails and sharp teeth started attacking me. At first they bit my nose and my paws. I tried to curl up into a tight ball for protection, but they even bit my sides. The next morning I was found by a human who gently picked me up and took me away. I could hear people saying things like.... Is he dead? Or has he been strimmed? I wanted to shout out please dont give up on me, Im not dead Anyway I was taken to a place where there are lots of other baby hedgehogs. Everyday I am weighed, my wounds are cleaned and I have to have some medicine. I dont like that bit, but I try to be brave. I have a warm bed and lots of lovely food which is specially mashed up small for a tiny guy like me. I think I had a very lucky escape.
