Just woke up from a Morning sleep, had to write this:- > :P Here it is, 17th of May 2014 a day that will be engraved forever in the gooner faithful hearts. Never been so satisfied in my life, and was thinking this should be a never ending day for us! The Silverware is back home and here we are back to winning ways! The wait is finally over, i am still in the celebration mood. Hangover? maybe... Its been nearly a decade that we have laid our hands upon something. The Dust Seemed settled in our Cabinet. Always there was a glimmer of hope that the Drought would be over and every one chirped Forthcoming season would be our season statements. Le Prof always had the confidence in our team since we moving on to the new stadium in 2006 from the Majestic Highbury. Even with the spending restrictions we never dropped out of the top four since, all because of our Gaffer who has a PhD in Economics :P (no i am not joking) and his brilliance in nurturing youth and home grown talent without nearly spending a penny. We saw how the team was close to winning something but couldnt make to the Finish Line. Many players were Sold, some moved on. Many said that we were a Ambitionless selling club and fourth place is considered as a trophy to us. Then there was this anger and rant among fellow Arsenal supporters who we kind of divided in In Arsene we Trust & In Arsene we Rust groups, there we many anti-wenger theories floating around (wewantourarsenalback & Black Bin Bags lol xx). Withered with the continuous mocking and battering of unsettled fans/rivals each season, heartbreaking moments like those what happened in February 2007/2011, big injuries to key players at the crucial stages, tough draws vs top world class opponents during each UCL round of 16 and nearly making it to the quarters. We were always there close to doing something extraordinary out of the blue. Wenger always steadied the ship among these harsh storms. I have seen this club since its Glory years since 99 to this day. The way wenger moulds his teams is one process like that of giving dimensions to a diamond. Its a steady process without splashing bills but the product we get at the end is mesmerising! Manchester Utd vs Arsenal was a great treat to watch in those days when Fergie vs Wenger battles were at their prime, i hope this will be revived again (Not one sided as it is for now :P) which i eagerly wait each year for than the NLD. Last time i was Junior College when i saw us lift the trophy in Cardiff (i still remember the banter i did with man utd fans on ORKUT that time :P) Coincidentally it was a FA cup, its been nearly a decade since that happened. Really a SHUBH AARAMBH moment to again begin with a FA cup in 2014. There were times when we used to lose games even with bottom teams, frustration used to engulf us, and we were kind of used to this. Even the team we beat yesterday was a really good team. Why? Because now no team from the English Leagues is a BOTTOM TEAM. As Arsene always insisted, all of them play with their hearts out, their technical gameplay has massively improved and Never Die attitude. Beauty of English football lies in this teams itself. Wenger is the man who always deserved something for what he is doing for the club since the last 18 odd years. Yes there were tears in my eyes when we failed during all these years, cursed our luck. But yesterday i never knew when tears trickled down when i finally saw our Old man so satisfied after lifting that trophy. YES! those were TEARS OF JOY! Victoria Concordia Crescit. Straight From The Heart. Yours Loving. -NGK xD
