British boy band One Direction came in second, taking in $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014, though that has to be split among Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne. Tomlinson, the oldest of the five, turns 23 on Christmas Eve. Styles, the youngest in 1D, is a mere month older than Bieber. Taylor Swift, 24, leads the ladies on the list with an estimated $64-million take. Sensing a theme here? Nine people on the 10-name list, compiled from the magazines Celebrity 100 research, are musicians. Bieber was No. 33 on the larger ranking. The lone thespian in the group? Jennifer Lawrence, 24, slouching in at seventh place with a measly $34 million. Not in order, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are the elder statesmen of the bunch at 28 and 29, respectively, and Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Skrillex and Avicii round out the list. In compiling its list, Forbes does not deduct for taxes, management fees or the other costs of being a celebrity — which in Biebers case will, next year, include the nearly $81,000 he was ordered to pay to his former neighbors for damage done when he egged their house. That sounds like it falls into the category of an under-30 expense.
