K.S.R.T.Chas introduced an inter-state monthly bus pass at concessional rates on the Mangalore-Kasargod route. With the launching of the new initiative, passengers on the Mangalore-Kasargod route can avail a discount in the fare. A passenger needs to pay only 20 days up and down fare to avail a 30-day pass, thereby getting 10 days of free travel. While the actual up and down fare for 30 days is Rs 2,580 on Mangalore - Kasargod route, passes are issued for Rs 1,720. Meanwhile, passes will also be issued on other routes including Talappady, Manjeshwar and Kumble. An additional amount of Rs 50 will be collected as the charge of annual identity card, said KSRTC Mangalore division. KSRTC has 37 schedules providing 264 trips on the Mangalore - Kasargod route. Buses leave from Mangalore depot to Kasargod every three minutes.
