KAIRI NEWS update this morning at 6:30am: Based on the trend that they have set this week; it appears that Fire officers in Portsmouth will continue protest action today—going into day THREE. These officers are sleeping outside the fire station and have refused to entire the building because they say the conditions that they are subjected to in the building are inhumane. Fire Chief Josiah Dupuis told Kairi news Thursday the situation remains the same since the protest action began on Wednesday. The Union representing fire officers—the Dominica Public Service Union—says the protest action will continue until the issues are addressed.
