KATHLEEN Katie ( HENDERSON) GERARD Kathleen Katie ( Henderson) Gerard, 89, of Grafton, West Virginia, went to spend her eternal life with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Monongalia County General Hospital. She was born May 10. 1924, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Bacel Calvin Henderson and Lillian Mae (Swick) Henderson. Her husband, Ross Gerard, preceded her in death in 1983. Katie was a wife, mother and businesswoman. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are one son, Timothy Ross Gerard, of Grafton, West Virginia; two daughters, Twila Dawn Reed and husband Mike, of Maidsville, WV and Jacqueline Kay Hunt, of Taylor County; six grandchildren, Ross Phillip Gerard, of Charleston, SC, Haley Nicole Gerard, of Virginia Beach, VA, Megan Ashley Reed and fiance Nathon Loughery, of Pentress, WV, Stephanie Michelle Redd, of Maidsville, WV, Katelyn Dawn Hunt, of Morgantown, WV, and Steven Daniel Hunt, of Morgantown, WV; four great grandchildren Mackenzie Gerard, Nathaniel Gerard and Jaxon Ross Gerard; two sisiters, Helen Josephine McCord, of Grafton, WV, and Martha Jean Milinovich and husband Michael, of Rock Cave, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. In addition, to her husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Wanita Howell, Junior Henderson, Walter William Henderson, Emma Jean Lohr and Margaret Louise Henderson, in infancy. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Avenue, Grafton, WV, from 2-8p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the St. Augustine Catholic Church at 10a.m. Wedbesday, April 30, 2014, with Father Jim OConnor celebrant.
