KATHUA, SEPT. 20: Aam Admi Party has alleged that MLA of Hiranagar constituencies, MLA Durga Dass miss appropriated CDF for his personal interests in the constituency. Allegations of miss-utilization of CDF by MLA are leveled by Aam Admi Party in a press conference held at Hiranagar on Saturday. While addressing the press media, the spokesperson of the AAP, B.L Kandly pointed the role of MLA of Hiranagar to carry the developmental activities from his Constituency Development Fund in the various parts of the constituency and said in these developmental activities the influential people, kith and kins of the MLA were not given only the importance but also authority also to consider the areas for development with their own choice. The Panchayat Sabhas and general people are ignored and sidelined in consultation for the works. Kandly said MLA totally used undemocratic and suppressive approaches towards the people and adopted pick and choose policy for the development. Most of the thirst areas are left as ignored and MLA is working under the influence of his spoon feeders. A village Krekhar in Panchayat Pathwal of Hiranagar Constituency is quite neglected and as per the report only 35000 rupees are utilized in the tenure of six years. As per an RTI report, CDF’s major share is used in block Gagwal, lesser amount in Hiranagar and very less in Barnoti Block that shows huge gap and imbalances reflecting the areas wise discrimination. He said so many areas of the Hiranagar constituency are still living in a hope of beginning of development but such sentiments are not respected and honored by the MLA. AAP leaders also demanded a faire inquiry of the utilization of CDF of MLA Hiranagar and do the justice with ignored areas of the constituency. Leaders of AAP in the press conference appealed the general masses to unite under the banner of AAP which has become world’s biggest corruption crusader so that a corrupt and rotten political and economic system of the country could be put down. In the conference, AAP leaders Ram Paul, Chalgotra, Kali Dass, Suresh Kumar, Karam Chand, Ramesh Singh, and Balkar Singh were mainly present.
