In fact, Gabrielle won the 2014 Oregon Twilight Meet at Hayward Field on 5/9/14 winning over an impressive field of university throwers and an Olympian. This weekend Gabrielle was the 2014 OSAA State 6A Champion of Girls Javelin Throw with a winning mark of 164-2 (by a 28 win margin) which also met the A-Standard qualifier mark for the 2014 World Junior Championships She has had a remarkable 25 improvement since last years season; primarily within one months time and multiple PRs and phenomenal series at each meet. She broke a 30 year old meet record with 157-0 at the 65th Annual Grants Pass Rotary Invite on May 19th.
