KILL THE EGO is opening in NYC this Friday night November 14th at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, as part of the Korean American Film Festival New York (KAFFNY). An epic 40-minute-long poem composed of 10 years of sound recordings made in New York between 1998 and 2008 by Soundwalk Collective. Co-produced with Label Dalbin, Paris, the sound piece is visually interpreted by multi-disciplinary artist, painter, calligrapher and filmmaker Romon Yang, otherwise known as Rostarr, through a mesmerizing multi-layered live painting cut onto film. His physical presence as an artist is truly cinematic, he is like a martial artist of paint and ink as the utmost control and daring experimentation is combined with a reckless abandon and fluid grace.
