**PLEASE ADVOCATE FOR GEORGE TONIGHT!** A volunteer writes: Although not a Labrador Retriever, George reminds me of Old Yeller. Maybe because of his brown yellow coat or could it rather be because of his gentle and comforting demeanor? George is an older gentleman who was found as a stray. He is not skin and bones and his coat is well groomed, but he does not seem to have had the easiest life. His legs have calluses, many tiny old scars are splattered on his face and legs and a hematoma affects his left ear. Still, George has a great disposition toward people and dogs alike. He seems to love to be in company, gets all excited at the sight of treats or a ball and has the look of a beloved owned pet when he sits at my feet, enjoying caresses. George is happy to see other dogs, upclose in the yard or in the street. He playbows to males and females and does not get upset when a dog barks at him. He is a very pleasant and calming company. George does pull on the leash and eliminates on the way. He sits on command and poses for pictures .George is a mature dog whose eyes are full of life. He dreams to be part of your life, belong to your pack and give his best to gain your love.
