KMT or Ancient Egypt as it is commonly known was undoubtedly one - TopicsExpress

KMT or Ancient Egypt as it is commonly known was undoubtedly one of the greatest civilizations this world has ever produced. And though many of us are not direct descendants of the Ancient Egyptians, ALL AFRICANS lay claim to KMT (Ancient Egypt) and other great African civilizations as part of our racial contribution to the world. I said all of that to say this: Ancient Egypt was a patriarchal society. In laymans terms, a patriarchal society is a society led by men. But though KMT was a patriarchal society, female strength, wisdom, power and independence were admired, if not prized! Unlike many patriarchal societies of that time, Egyptian women of royal descent were able to acquire positions of influence and leadership in the political and social realms of society as seen with Hatsheput and Cleopatra. Now, I know a lot of modern day self-proclaimed conscious men and women would like to believe that Ancient Egypt and other great African civilizations such as Great Zimbabwe, and the Empire of Ghana were patriarchal in nature, but they werent. Sure, women ruled great African civilizations at different points in history, but for the most part men predominated the social, political and economical realms of most great African societies. Most families on the African continent were and still are male led households, and it isnt because of European cultural influence as many of the great African societies listed above predate European colonialism. A strong African woman respects a strong African man. She doesnt try to exercise control over the male species like many of you do today. She isnt trying to be a man as femininity is greatly admired among African people. She is strong, wise, powerful and capable of filling in the role of tribal or governmental leader in the absence of qualified men. And, it must be noted that without the presence of virtuous women, African greatness would have been impossible to achieve. Eternal respect to our women! The lioness may hunt and care for the cubs, but the lion runs the pride. Remember that.
