Kajsa Maria Margareta Nystrom (Margaret) March18, 1910 – October 03, 2013. Margaret was born Vaxjo, Sweden, March 18, 1910, and as an infant moved to Buffalo, N. Y. with her parents. At the age of five, they traveled by train, and wagon up the Edson trail to LaGlace, AB., where they homesteaded. Margaret took her schooling there and moved to Calgary at the age of 17, where she found Employment. In 1931 she met and married Arvid Nystrom. They had six children, Helen Marchant (deceased 2013), Dorothy Keeler, Gerald (deceased 1937), Barbara (Bill) Patey, Ronald, and Carol. Margaret was deceased by her parents Ernest & Helga Olsson, brothers, Rudolf and Walter Olsson, and Arvid. Margaret has eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great Grandchildren, one sister, Alma (Doug) Harbidge, as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a homemaker sewing and knitting for her family in the early years, as well as gardening and keeping her yard looking great. As a senior she took up painting and many of her art was given away as presents to her family, friends and actions to raise money for charity. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion; L.A. Branch #1, Her favorite charity was the Salvation Army. At her request there will be no funeral.
