Karen Moss Johnson asked I know this is a Dane rescue sight...but even owning a Mastiff I am in a quandry. I just rescued a 5 lb Yorkie mix. We are in the process of puppy training (8 mo old) and are socializing her with other dogs ( loves my Mastiff) as well as people. Here is the problem. She is TERRIFIED of all people except my Fiance and I. Terrified to the point where she will urinated and defecate on me when they even approach her or think of petting her. I have explained to people she is in training. She is even terrified of constant repetitve visitors that she sees constantly. Due to being a rescue have no idea what her past has been. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. TY in advance.
