Kashmir gunfight aftermath: Hizb warns Police The posters attributed to militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen have warned Jammu and Kashmir police of ‘dire consequences’ for their ‘involvement’ in killings of militants in south Kashmir’s Tral and have termed them ‘traitors of nation’. Three local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants were killed in fierce gunfight with Government forces on Monday in Tral while a cop of police’s counter-insurgency wing was also killed in a day long encounter. The posters, in which policeman have been warned, blame them for the killings of three Hizb militants. “Whatever happened (killings of militants) Jammu and Kashmir Police is involved in it. Our investigations also reveal that police is completely involved in killings,” it reads, adding, “They are committing these actions only to please their masters and officers.” The militant outfit, while warning policemen in the posters attributed to it, says, “These conscienceless policemen should think of their end now. Our three companions achieved martyrdom while battling these policemen but these conscienceless policemen are unaware of their end.” While asking people to stay away from the policemen on duty, the posters attributed to Hizb, reads, “We appeal to all of our Muslim brothers do not be friends with the police and also, wherever policemen are on duty don’t stand there.” Despite repeated attempts, Superintendent of Police (SP) Awantipora couldn’t be reached. There was no immediate reaction by police on these threat posters. Add comment
