Katelyn had a labs today and she is no longer neutropenic. All of her counts look good except for platelets. They have gone down since last Thursday (they were 66). They are at 33 today and need to be at least 50 to get chemo on Wednesday. She is having more labs drawn tomorrow to see if her platelets are going up. If they are not up, I am not sure when she will have chemo. Please pray her platelets are up tomorrow. She didnt feel very good over the weekend. She got sick twice on Sunday. I dont know if it was caused by the medicine she was taking or not. She complained about her throat hurting and burning to her stomach. She could have had mouth sores all the way down to her stomach. She did not run a fever at all over the weekend which is truly a blessing. She did not want to go to the hospital. Her throat is feeling much better today. It is amazing how a few more cells can make you feel so much better. After having labs drawn today and finding out she was no longer neutropenic, the first thing she asked to do was go to physical therapy. Ronnie was so kind to work her in. He has given her such confidence. When she first started to go to him, she could only bend her leg 10 degrees by herself. Today she bent it 45 degrees. She is able to lift and hold her left leg up all by herself. Even with a 1lb weight on it. She continues to become more independent everyday. She has been helping around the house and even helped cook dinner tonight. She has always been such a good helper and has really missed helping. I am so proud of my fighter and so thankful for all the answered prayers. God is good!
