Kauravas were defeated in the great war. Duryodhan received a - TopicsExpress

Kauravas were defeated in the great war. Duryodhan received a treacherous death and his parents had to go in an exile to meet ultimate death. Thus the entire Kaurava bloodline was wiped out. The story looks like all faults are committed from 1 side while the other side is clean marble white. However, it takes two hands to clap, not one. so here it is. 1-If Pandavas were virtuous how the five brothers could marry a single woman without her consent? How could they share a woman like a piece of meat and slowly discard her by marrying other women? 2-How could Yudhisthir stake Draupadi in dice game without seeking permission of his other brothers as they too were husband with equal right over her? Duryodhana’s entire behavior during this session is admirable as he always wanted to be sure what Pandavas has to say on his actions though Pandavas had already been his slaves after defeat in dice game. 3-There is no proof that Pandavas rule over Indraprastha was just and righteous than Kaurava rule over Hastinapur. 4-Yudhisthir was king of Indraprastha till he ruled it before dice game and later after defeat of Kauravas. But Duryodhan was never a king. He was just a prince till his death. He couldn’t be a king till death of his crowned father. If Duryodhan was so greedy for the throne, why didnt he kill or imprison his own father like Aurangzeb? 5-Pandavas killed, not only army of their enemy, but their own Guru, subjects, grandfather treacherously in the battle. 6-There is no slightest mention in Mahabharata that Duryodhan ever ill-treated his or public in general. Do NOT quote later additions or folklores of MB.Stick with original. But Pandavas, with help of Krishna, mass-massacred entire Naga clan by setting fire to Khandav vana and shooting arrows at the terrified people . If Takshak attacked, is mass massacre the only way? What is this love with mass massacre? 7-Pandavas loved dicing. Especially Yudhisthir, the man called most virtuous, who didn’t stop his gaming till he staked a woman and brothers he alone didn’t own. The fact is there is no instance in Mahabharata that Duryodhan ever engaged in dicing. Shakuni loved dicing. Not Duryodhan. He indeed was a just Prince who is not blamed even in Mahabharata for treating his subjects cruelly or unjustly. 8-Even final fight he fought with Bheem, Duryodhan followed the ethical norms and it was Bheem who treacherously broke the rules of duel and killed him by smashing his thighs. 9- Every king supported Duryodhan in the war so it shows he was extremely popular. If he was so cruel and hated, how come the half of India supported him? Were all adharmik people? The entire half of India was adharmik except Pandavas? There are so many instances that shows Pandavas were treacherous. They had no right over the throne being illegitimate children, used the sympathies of their Guru’s to their benefit and killed them finally to establish their own rule. Dhritarastra was son of Ved Vyas who was Satyavatis son. Satyavati was Rajmata, legal wife of King Shantanu. Pandu was childless by his own right. Dhritarastra was a Karyakari ruler but he WAS on the throne which makes HIS children, next in line. Duryodhan was LEGITIMATE child. How can children from other men become kings of a clan they have no blood relations with? Poisoining of Bheem and the game of dice was Shakunis mastermind. Also, at game of dice, Draupadi was not disrobed. She was dragged and verbally humiliated. The history is as such. We always prefer and glorify the side of the winners. We never look or even want to look at the other side of the losers. One side had all godly powers, whitewashing their every action under the name of dharma. Other side has nothing for their defense. What Kauravas committed made them evil, but what Pandavas committed made them pious because every action has labelled APPROVED BY GOD
