Kaziranga, Assam March, 14 [D7000 + 300f4 ] (very basic editing) [Dedicating my 1st elephant shot to my friend Prabal Bera whose lovely pictures inspired me greatly to make the Kaziranga tour for elephants... Inside Agratoli range, I was on foot inside the forest (allowed at that point for watchtower as well as for toilet) when our guide spotted it nearby; it was heading our was, when it spotted us and turned away... after a few minutes, we got on the jeep and found it nearby. She was very patient with us; gradually circled our jeep and finally settled at the backside of our jeep at super closeup distance (she could take a step forward, and catch our vehicle with her trunk!). Our jeep was turned off (mainly due to her patience and coolness). Spend a few minutes with her and then we drove off and she turned away too without any sign of anger :) ]
