This Christmas try to help someone (your own family members, relatives, neighbours, security guard, office boy, your domestic help) who you can see and know for sure is going through a difficult time and is expecting your smallest help in whatever form, rather than putting your contributions in a dumb box or an envelope and donating it in an organization, institution, congregation, self made groups or churches, where you dont even know if your contribution is reaching the deserving and needy.
