Keep your kitchen cool....make Granola in your crock-pot! Easy! 5 cups Old Fashioned rolled oats (uncooked-NOT quick oats) ½ cup honey ¼ cup coconut oil-melted (4 tablespoons) you can also use olive oil Place oats, honey and oil in the crock-pot, mix well with a wooden spoon that has been sprayed with Bakers Joy. Cook on low, stirring every hour or so until dry and golden, about 3 hours or so. Keep lid propped open while crocking. Shan serves buffet style with bananas, raisins, walnuts, flax seed meal, shredded coconut, hemp seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, cinnamon,yogurt etc. Store in air-tight canister. Shelf life is about a month. Freeze for a longer time. Yield: 10- ½ cup servings- 246 calories per serving
