Kevin shared-One year ago today I underwent the 11 hour surgery to remove my severely damaged and infected left arm. The doctors tried in vain for one week to save it, but the persistent infection would not allow that. It was quite an experience after I awoke from the surgery, to no longer see an arm on my left side. I have dealt with many obstacles this past year, but I have in my opinion overcome them, and will continue to do so. There have been many adjustments to accomplish with one arm what I used to do with two. I know that there are certain things I will not be able to do, regardless of adjustment or adaptation. I accept this fact, and will continue to do my best with what God has allowed me to have. Yes losing the arm was quite a loss, but I am still here and am very thankful everyday for that. Life can change in the blink of an eye, so appreciate everyday as the true blessing that it is. So Happy Ampuversary to me!!
