Kevins Challenge Day 4 of 5.... Anyone remember Mandys Soccer Bar....it was next to the directors/players car park by the South Stand on Bloomfield Road....and when wed been collecting autographs we always finished up there for a Horlicks and an hour on the football table....John Farrar,Philip Walton Herb Walsh and me ....and we played this on the juke -box non-stop.......Mr Gomersall has stolen my thunder with his Shadows/ Hank Marvin offering,because this guitarist Mick Green was adored and to a degree copied by his peers and the newer bands coming through.(although in fairness Apache was June 1960 and Shakin all over was August).. this to me as a kid was the most thrilling guitar sound.Strangely more musicians seem to mention Mick Green now than in perhaps the last 20 years...which pleases me..............llll.lenjoy !!!!
