Kiamba once a Paradise, now under severe threat of destruction. - TopicsExpress

Kiamba once a Paradise, now under severe threat of destruction. Five major floods only in a span of 7 months. October 24, 2014, there was no rain in the Poblacion, yet there occurred a mudflow. Mining applications were approved despite Kiamba being a part of the Allah Valley Watershed per Proclamation 2455 and Sarangani Bay a Protected Seascape per Proclamation 756 and despite MGB declaring Kiamba as prone to flood and landslides. Cutting of trees were allowed to be cut and transported by the DENR despite the logging moratorium and absence of commercial tree plantations in the area. Destruction of a Paradise, is this what they call development? Where is justice and who will help? Will local officials continue to turn a deaf ear? 3455 a756 youtu.be/fs27y2E_RIo
