Kidero Tells off Akech Chieng Over Homabay Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero told off Luo Elder Akech Chieng from Homabay who attended the Raila Odinga self-initiated Opoda home meeting to drum support for his Homabay Senate bid that he is not interested in being drawn to politics of that nature. This was after Akech Chieng requested Dr. Kidero to accompany Raila Odinga to Homabay on Thursday this week to declare his candidature in Homabay. Dr. Kidero made it clear that he is the Governor of Nairobi and only travels out of Nairobi on meaningful and impactful development issues that change lives when called upon to assist. In his own words, Dr. Kidero said that ‘the people of Homabay are sufficiently endowed intellectually and politically to chart a way-forward on the direction the politics of Homabay should take and his opinion or that of non-residents of Homabay was not necessary.
