Kids Camp DAY TWO (Wednesday - sorry this is belated). Very few kids heard the thunderstorms overnight. The day started out with the kids in the rally, learning (and singing) our verse for the day on the Fruit of the Spirit. In the Dive into Self Defense, we learned how to fall without hurting ourselves (great self-defense from our own clumsiness), then learned how to sharpen our sword (of the Spirit, the Bible). After lunch the kids had the afternoon rotation. Besides swim and another water game, they continued making crafts. Some of the older kids are making working clocks out of musical albums and CDs, while some of the younger kids are making tie pillows and bags/purses made out of old jeans. At dinner, it was so cute, one of our younger campers fell asleep at the table. Obviously it was a busy and FUN day! After dinner, and our story about walking on water, we played Counselor Hunt, always a camp favorite. (I still cant believe I was found...) After that, showers and bedtime, time to get ready for another amazing day! Thanks for your continued prayers for the kids, counselors, and staff. Its been surprisingly smooth, and we see God preparing the kids and counselors for Thursday discussions about following Jesus. Yet I know theres an enemy who wants to steal and destroy our kids. So please be praying for what God is going to do tonight!
