Kim Fowley was quite a character and definitely played a big role in some great bands. One of the most memorable meetings that I have ever had in my life was with him and the guys in Best Kissers in the World when he was pitching himself to produce their second record for MCA. Things that were brought up in that meeting covered everything from running guns, being in the service, MTV cameras following the band to Amsterdam smokehouses and brothels, a death threat (to us), lots of scarf flipping was done and it ended with him telling us a great story of why to drive Fountain and not Santa Monica Blvd as we went from the Le Parc to the Dragonfly for the bands set. That was definitely an hour of my life I will never forget...
