Kind of sad UKIP have ditched the so called Wag Tax - a plan to heavily tax womens designer shoes and handbags - it indicated that the party were still the same amusingly batty and confused people who in 2010 proposed making The Circle Line more circular, forcing people to dress properly for the theatre, making taxi drivers dress like chauffeurs and insisting female nurses wear high heels. UKIP,are obsessed with what people, women in particular, wear. And all this from a party forever moaning about being micro-managed by Brussels. So no Wag Tax, as it was apparently explained to Farage that making women pay more for nice shoes and bags is not a way to win the female working class vote. Or the male working class vote. Or any vote really. I suppose at a push it might appeal to the Greens and No Logo crowd, but I dont think theyd vote UKIP.. Still as the election approaches expect more mad, abortive policy announcements, the least crazy being the ones about clothes.. Should be very entertaining
