Krazy Kool Caking Tip #101: The industry is TOO SATURATED with cake artists. Its virtually IMPOSSIBLE to make a living making custom cakes. Have you heard this before? I recently read this comment and it supposedly has come out of the mouths of CAKE PIONEERS. Whether it be true or not, if you HAVE heard this, REST ASSURED that a comment like this was only born out of FEAR. When people are afraid of competition, their FIRST instinct is to DISCOURAGE others from trying. It could also be an EXCUSE from a lazy caker who doesnt even want to TRY to be successful. Either way, it is NOT TRUE. If youve heard this comment before, DONT BE DISCOURAGED. There is PLENTY of business to go around for ALL OF US. The only way youll struggle making a living making custom cakes is if you are charging peanuts for your work, which unfortunately, many cake artists are... A TRUE CAKE PIONEER will LEAD THE WAY and ENCOURAGE other cake artists to follow in their footsteps. The PROOF IS IN THE PUDDIN! If ONE can do it, so can others! DONT EVER BE AFRAID fellow cake artists! Lets NOT EVER focus on or pay attention to NEGATIVITY. ALWAYS TRUST GOD and BELIEVE what HE says!
