Kris McGlothlin named head coach of Delaware Tech Lady Hawks women’s volleyball team Dover, Delaware - On Monday, March 10, Kris McGlothlin was named the new head coach of Delaware Tech’s Lady Hawks women’s volleyball team. McGlothlin – a native of Swords Creek, Va. – will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. Prior to Delaware Tech, McGlothlin’s coaching experience included club director and head coach for Gold Standard Athletics. In addition, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Wesley College (2010-2012) and was an assistant coach at Delaware State University (2008-2013). During his tenure at Delaware State, he helped the team achieve a 20-win season and a first place finish in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Northern Division in 2010. “I am excited for the opportunity to step into an already successful program. Coach Savage has laid out a great foundation for the program. I think we are in a position to make significant strides as a program beyond our conference. Players coming in will be a part of a new culture of wanting to take this program all the way to the top,” McGlothlin said.
