Krissy, Richie & Dixie finally ventured back to the movie theater-post Oscar with its 1st movie together in awhile. ‘Draft Day’ Stars: Kevin Costner, Chadwick Boseman, Jennifer Garner Richie writes….At the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to rebuild his team when he trades for the number one pick. He must decide what hes willing to sacrifice on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with NFL dreams. Sonny has taken over as GM of the lowly Cleveland Browns (also true in real NFL) after firing his father, at request of his mother. He father since died 6 months earlier. The team has not felt like his own and still feels like his father’s. So, as NFL Draft Day approaches Sonny mulls his selections. He really likes a lesser known Defensive lineman BUT the owner wants to make a splash with a top 1 QB pick, even though the team has a pretty good one at the moment. The coach, played by Dennis Leary wants a star running back. BTW- Leary Does NOT fit the character of an NFL Head coach-stick to comedy please. All the while, Sonny, divorced is back in the saddle with Jennifer Garner, who plays the salary cap advisor. If you like football, as IO do, you will love this movie. The side love story will pull the females in, if they do not like football. It’s a combo chick and macho flick. I give the movie ‘3 ½’ beeps. Dixie….what did you think? I loved the movie, for what it was tring to do, it succeeded. ‘5’ beeps from me.
