Kudos to Jayne! Our resident service dog, Jayne, whose owner is Katie - our SCC Market coordinator, was recently certified through Therapy Dogs International (TDI). She also received an advanced certification from the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a Canine Good Citizen. Below, Jayne in her bed at SCC with her new friend Sammy a gift to Jayne from a SCC Market Volunteer. Jayne comes to work with Katie each day is much loved by everyone at SCC - we couldnt be more proud of her achievement. Katie plans to use Jayne in numerous service capacities, including visiting children and the elderly in hospitals, and as a therapy dog for others with special needs.
