Kwanza is suppose to be an African American Holiday. African Americans do not derive the ECONOMIC BENIFIT from it. Those of you who do celebrate Kwanza, from where does your Kwanza items come? Many of you will say that you purchase them from a black business. That black business is only a middle man--not a producer. Most Kwanza items are made in China and India, with most of the Kwanza greeting cards and candles made by non-black American businesses. So even for an holiday made for black people, black people are still on the consumer end of its economic benefit--rather than on the production end.
