Kwara PDP no match for APC – Olawepo -------------------------------------------------------- Former Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Kwara State, Chief Kayode Olawepo, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state is no match for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Olawepo, one of the leaders of the APC, the recently registered opposition party in country, said this during an interview with our correspondent in Ilorin. He said: “There is no doubt that the PDP knows that it cannot withstand APC’s strength in Kwara. You saw the way they recklessly stole our mandate during the local government election in Offa. Already, they are apprehensive as to what will become their fate in future election in Kwara State. They don’t even know what to do now.” “We don’t know which faction of the party we are contesting against in the local government election they are hurriedly slating for October 26. Well, we have cases before the court and we are expecting justice. The coming together of ACN, Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) and All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) was a bad luck to them; they are now in trouble because we are getting stronger.” Olawepo said that gone are the days the future of Kwarans was determined by a dynasty in PDP, adding; “We are ready to confront and defeat the Saraki dynasty. The incumbent governor of Kwara State is a stooge of Bukola Saraki; he has nothing to show for being in office.
