There are the Kyokushin legends like Shokei Matsui, Ademir Da Costa, Akira Masuda, Hajime Kazumi, Kenji Yamaki, Gary ONeil, Lechi Kurbanov, Kenji Midori and Judd Reid (please add the many names Ive missed in the comments below). And those that went on to become K1 superstars like Andy Hug, Francisco Filho, Nicholas Pettas, Glaube Feitosa and Sam Greco. Not to forget that the UFC mega stars Georges St Pierre and Nikita Krylov also both began their careers in Kyokushin. And we all know the world famous action movie heroes Dolph Lundgren and Sonny Chiba. Then there are the pioneers and international ambassadors such as Shihan Bobbie Lowe, Shihan Howard Collins, Hanshi Steve Arneil, Hanshi John Taylor and Shihan Eddie Emin And finally we ARE talking about 12 MILLION PEOPLE in over 140 COUNTRIES who signed up as dedicated students and practitioners of Kyokushin Karate. What we all have in common is that we were inspired by this one incredible man - Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. Even on the 20 year anniversary of his passing his spirit and teachings live on today in the hearts and minds of his students and followers.
