Kyriacos Kyriacou 29 July 2013 ANIMAL RESPONSIBILITY CYPRUS (ARC/KIVOTOS) CYPRUS ANIMAL LOVERS HORRIFIED BY BRUTAL BREAKING OF KITTEN’S BACK IN PUBLIC THEN SEEN KICKED UNDER A CAR DRAGGING ITS BROKEN BROKEN BODY Barbarity has gone too far… now spreading viral by Facebook. Devastating Cyprus tourism in time of economic crisis ARC together with decent Cypriot citizens condemn this barbaric behaviour, bearing in mind the now well-established link between barbarity to animals and wife- beating, child-beating, and mass killers. Young Cypriots are educated and well aware of this link. They are appalled at this image of Cyprus being broadcast worldwide on social media and plan a demonstration. Already ARC is receiving emails (from the UK, Sweden and Germany) saying that visitors to Cyprus are cancelling their plans to visit. Aware of the mass slaughter of songbirds, they say that this brutal act revolts them. Last year’s case of Thunder – a dog smashed on the pavement breaking his bones by a sadist is still fresh in peoples’ minds. A demonstration is being planned in Nicosia this Saturday 3rd of August 2013 At the same time on Facebook, spreading fast, is the report of a mature large turtle who came to lay her eggs, but who had her eyes cut out in front of a traumatised child by fishermen. ARC totally condemns such acts of barbarism. Authorities must act. Cyprus is being blacklisted as a theatre of barbarism. For more information contact: K.
