Since the days of calculus and physics at Memorial, Ethny Nava - TopicsExpress

Since the days of calculus and physics at Memorial, Ethny Nava knew she had a passion for math and engineering. After graduating with a degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009, Ethny returned to the RGV and worked for a civil and structural engineering firm in Weslaco. Through that firm she was able to be a part of projects such as The National Butterfly Museum in Mission, Santana Textiles denim factory in Edinburg, Coca-Cola in McAllen, and many other civil and structural projects throughout the valley. In the summer of 2012 she moved to San Antonio to further her career and focus on structures. For the past 18 months she has been working for JQ as a Project Engineer leading projects such as Academic Learning & Teaching Center for University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, the Agricultural & Business Multipurpose Building at Texas A&M Prairie View, a building addition for Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio and of course, phase I of UT Health Science Center South Texas Medical Academic Buildings for the future UTRGV. Aside from work, she gives back to the community by supporting organizations like Mended Little Hearts, RGV Food Bank, and Edinburg Childrens Hospital Ronald McDonald House. She began her involvement in the McAllen Junior League, and continues to be active as part of the Junior League of San Antonio. And we couldnt be prouder! Thanks for all that you do in our community, Ethny! #Classof2005 #KeepingTraditionAlive
