L.A. PEOPLE! Please sign & share!!! There in an effort to outlaw Agriculture for any food and wine production in the Coastal Zone of Unincorporated LA County (that includes most of Topanga Canyon). It is unprecedented in the history of the State of California, and threatens to push food production even further in the direction of big inland industrial Agri-business (think GMOs). The upcoming changes to the Coastal Commission - putting control of the LA County coast in the hands of a local commission - gives us the chance to be heard. We can demand for sustainable farming and gardening practices to be permitted and also to protect/permit existing model farms and gardens. Otherwise, if were not allowed to have our own permaculture farms, what hope is there to strive toward self-sufficiency and a deeper connection with nature?
