L.C. Cooke, Sam Cookes brother made a run at the recording industry and recorded 10 tracks on his brothers SAR label. However the release was delayed when Sam was killed. The label went out of business and the record became a man without a country. Back in August this year, that material was finally released. This is one of the tracks. You can hear Sams signature intonations. L.C. a solid singer in his own right is clearly no Sam Cooke however, but hearing Sams verve come out of this similar yet raspier instrument is still a thrill for any serious Sam fan which I most certainly am. So, this one goes out to all of us who have not let another down easily, a good reminder to be kind to others.
