L-LYSINE: Mum buys l-lysine for my FIV brother Max as he also has herpes virus so gets cat flu quite easily. A few months ago Max started with the flu again but mum and dad couldnt afford to take him to the vets straight away so mum searched high and low for home remedies and discovered L-lysine and it has been a godsend. It helped Max fight off the flu and stopped it progressing without the need for antibiotics so acts as an immunity booster. We also give it to Max as a preventative measure before stressful situations or changes to his environment - like me arriving hehe - as this can also trigger it but so far so good (touch wood!!) I must stress Im not a vet and neither are my parents so this is all based on experience
