LADOJA, THE GENESIS OF APC IN OYO STATE. Yes! Its now the part of APC. I want to tell you the Genesis of APC in Oyo state. After Ladojas tenure in 2007, he did not recontest, all in the face of Defeat, Debris of the war against Adedibu+Akala+F G (Under Obj-led Administration) . At this time, PDP had been hijacked, and turned to another thing in the state. Nothing else than to leave the party. Ladoja and other minorities (Yes! Minorities), formed ACD. A party formed by the decampees (out) of PDP and the progressive minds. Before the end of Ladojas Tenure, the Afeniferes were nearly going into extinction, as only Baba Lam and few others like Lanleyin, BaBa Farinu in oyo, Baba Elegbede etc. remained in the caucus. It was all about PDP then. At this stage the minoriy merged with Ladoja group, and formed ACD (I, Baseet, still have my ACD membership card till today). Not quite long, the minority started claiming superiority, as the Afenifere (AD) claimed they own the party, after lots of agreement and disagreement, it was all resolved to remove D from the ACD, and there the Party became AC (Action Congress). When the minority wont stop claiming superiority, Sen. Ladoja dumped the party, and went on holiday for some time, as he wasnt contesting in 2007. But in 2007 election, SENATOR RASHIDI LADOJA FLAGGED OFF SENATOR ISIAKA ABIOLA AJIMOBI OF ANPP, AND RECOMENDED HIM FOR THE PEOPLE OF OYO STATE. PROFESSOR TAOHEED ADEDOJA WAS THE GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE OF AC THEN. Senator Ajimobi contested against Chief Alao- Akala of PDP and Prof. Taoheed Adedoja of AC and Mr. Bashiru Apapa of LP (Labour Party). Sen.Ajimobi won the election but was rigged in favour of PDP, (as expected), even up till Tribunal level, Ladoja supported Ajimobi, not until his usual arrogance pushed him to deny Ladojas support, then he finally lost out in court. The Prof. Taoheed Adedoja of AC, later joined PDP and served as Education commissioner under Governor Alao-Akala. Towards the end of 2010, N was added to AC to become ACN (Action Congress of Nigeria) nationwide, in preparation of 2011 election. In 2011, Accord Party was picked by Sen. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. The three- month old party was used to contest various posts, which finally won different seats, like 7 in State H/A, and some Reps. The Ibadan SouthWest LG votes, which Ladoja (politically) donated for Ajimobi gave him his mandate, over the then incembent, which Ajimobi benefits till today. This is why I laugh in Chinese, whenever Senator Ajimobi calls Baba Ladoja a dreamer. I feel like, Ajimobi benefits from the dream of Ladoja, as Ladoja dreamed of Ajimobi becoming Oyo state Governor in 2007 and even 2011. Its easy to identify an ingrate. In 2011, the ACN, wooed Ajimobi of ANPP into their party, just like they did for Sen. Ibikunle Amosun (also from ANPP) in Ogun. Senator Ajimobi was produced by reaching on a consensus candidate (ahead of original members of the party, like SOLAN (Senator Olufemi Lanlehin) of Lam Adesina faction, SOJ etc.). Recently, ACN, ANPP, CPC and APGA merged to form a mega party; APC. Even though the CPC faction of APC are sidelined in Oyo state today, we can all see the Genesis of APC in Oyo state. Where are the Afeniferes in 2006? I learnt a lot from Senator Rashidi Ladoja. 1. PEOPLE MAKE PARTY, PARTY DOESNT MAKE PEOPLE.I.E. OPINION OF THE MEMBERS OF A PARTY MUST BE RESPECTED. 2. THE WELFARE OF THE MASSES MUST BE THE FIRST PRIORITY OF A GOOD GOVERNMENT. 3. THERES NO PERMANENT ENEMY OR FRIEND IN POLITICS. I.E. NO DO-OR-DIE IN A SANE POLITICS. And I ask, does this reflect in LADOJA or Not? Its time to choose what we want, design our future and that of our children by our thumbs. Then how do we? Very simple, three steps. 1. Go get your PVC tomorow or Register for new one on the 20th of this month. 2. Join your party, Accord Party, it belongs to you, cause your opinion runs the party. No dictator, No godfather, Ladoja is a mere National leader. 3. Wait for 2015 elections and vote for the people you choosed yourself, in Accord Party. You can easily correct them when they get there, even if they misbehave. No American, No British or Canadian. Theyre all omo oyo, omo Ibadan, Omo Ibarapa, Omo Oke-ogun and Omo Ogbomoso.
