He said: ” This One-Stop Centre and the Temporary Vehicle Tag is another milestone in our journey in managing Lagos transport sector. Managing transportation in Lagos to this stage is like the eighth wonder of the world. People are buying vehicles every day, and it takes a lot of efforts and commitment to manage it. “The One-Stop Centre and Temporary Vehicle Tag is to engender an effective and efficient service delivery. It is a service delivery point where vehicle registrations, drivers’ licence and renewal, plate numbers and everything that has to do with drivers and vehicles are done without delay.” In his own remark, the Commissioner for Transport, Comrade Opeifa who announced that five more centres will be built across the state, said the Temporary Vehicle Tag was to reduce unregistered vehicles’ attraction to armed robbers. ” With the Temporary Vehicle Tag, no car would ply the state’s roads without identification as newly bought car from the point of purchase would be given a tag to identify it, and the identification details will be in the state database.”
