LAND SURVEYING SOFTWARE. Can anybody recomment a suitable software product for surveying allotments? Ive been using Grow Vegs Garden Planner, but it really only works when at least two of you plot corners are 90 degrees. In practice, I find that things that fit nicely on the screen dont always fit on the ground - because none of my corners are 90 degrees. Proper surveying (I think) means staking out your plot in triangles and measuring the lengths of all three sides of every triangle. If I could find software to draw out a plan of my stakes from my measurements that should give a reliable framework for fitting everything else in. The start point would just be to measure all 4 sides of the plot AND one diagnal. Youll probably all tell me that Im over-thinking this??
